In addition to our CNC equipment, some of which is shown below (but by no means all!), are grinding facilities (including production plunge feed cylindrical grinding equipment), assembly areas and bench finishing facilities.  We also have a full range of supporting conventional machinery for tool making and short production run purposes.

Turning Centres:-

Beaver TC 15 chucking turning centre, complete with 10 VDI tool stations, programmable tailstock and through tool coolant facility for short cycle times. This is one of five chucking turning centres at our Stevenage plant.

Hyundai HiT 15 turning centre (foreground) complete with Hydrofeed hydraulic bar feed.  The bar feed enables the machine to produce parts virtually un-manned, once a bar of material has been loaded it can run for up to 5 hours un-interrupted.  This particular machine is fitted with tool preset probing and a 20 tool station turret.  The rapid feed rate of the machine is a terrifying 40m per minute

Another view of a Hyundai HiT15 showing the swarf conveyor to the right. The swarf produced during machining is automatically deposited into a hopper, which further improves un-manned operation.

Hardinge CHNC II, an extremely accurate turning centre which is capable of turning to tolerances of less than 5 microns, enabling us to machine various components to grinding tolerances without the need for subsequent grinding operations.  This type of equipment is generally used for producing optical and laser components
